Planning a Reunion

The Office of Alumnae Relations is happy to help you plan your class reunion!

Events
Alumnae are encouraged to continue to nurture the lifelong friendships they have forged as students at Mary Help. Each year, the Office of Alumnae Relations along with alumnae parent volunteers present Blue Friday, a special reception held over Thanksgiving break. During this time, many recent alumnae return from college to reunite with their friends over coffee and dessert. To ensure you are on the guest list for this year's Blue Friday, please update your alumnae record in our online directory.

Class Reunions
Traditionally, class reunions are held during milestone anniversary years (10, 20, 30, etc.). However, you are welcome to get together as soon and as frequently as you'd like, and not just with your own graduating class. In fact, many of our alumnae opt to hold multi-year events that include friends of all classes.

Initial Inquiry
If you are considering planning a reunion or even a less formal get together of friends, please contact our office directly via email to [email protected]. Please send the details of your request (i.e. graduation year, milestone year, or class years you wish to include). Once your request is reviewed, you will be contacted to confirm the details, and we will assist in disseminating a survey of alumnae to determine interest.

Class Lists
The Academy maintains class lists which are regularly updated to reflect current contact information. Due to privacy concerns, our office does not share personal information without prior consent, but we will happily put you in touch with those who respond to the initial inquiry. Because we rely on the accuracy our contact lists, please be sure to update yours regularly by filling out the "Update Contact Information Form" on the right as your information changes.

Mailings
Depending on your preference, you may wish to send a mass email to classmates and friends. Our office has the capability to do so on your behalf, and responses will be forwarded to the event organizer's attention. If you prefer to issue a paper mailing, such as a formal invite or Save the Date, you may provide your stamped pieces, which we will address and distribute on your behalf.

Use of Facilities
Many alumnae wish to revisit their Mary Help experience by touring the campus, visiting with Sisters, holding a prayer service in our newly renovated chapel, or simply taking in the change that has occurred on campus over the years. We welcome all alumnae to take advantage of our facilities, and simply ask that you coordinate with us to check room availability and reserve the requested spaces. Campus tours may also be arranged with the help of our current Student Ambassadors.

Website Announcement
As you finalize the details of your event, we will post a reunion announcement on our website's Upcoming Reunions page.

Event Write Up
Following your reunion, please provide a write up with event photographs to [email protected] for publication in Blue & Gold Magazine.

Donations
Though not required, donations supporting the Academy's fundraising goals are greatly appreciated. If your group is interested in collecting a donation, please speak to your Alumnae Relations Representative to answer any questions you may have, or to learn about our current fundraising goals. Donations sent with notes or letters will be published in Blue & Gold with your consent.
