All camp staff are required to attend mandatory training at Mary Help of Christians Academy. These on-site sessions will cover Salesian Charism training, however prospective staff are asked to independently fulfill the CPR/AED/First Aid and Protecting God's Children training requirements before May 16th. Please visit the Paterson and Newark Diocese websites for more information regarding Protecting God's Children and for available training sites. Applicants must also submit for fingerprinting and be able provide a letter of clearance from the State of New Jersey prior to May 15th. Individuals who have fulfilled all requirements and are available for mandatory training are welcomed to apply. Note: The fingerprinting and Protecting God's Children requirements apply only to those applicants/volunteers who will be 18 years of age or older at their time of work/service.

MHC Camp welcomes young men and women who have completed their freshman year of high school to serve as volunteers. Volunteers work as Junior Counselors under the guidance of an adult leader, and fall into one of three categories: MHC Academy upperclassmen (volunteers seeking tuition remission), MHC Academy students, or local male high school students. Interested college students who have completed their first year may apply for paid group leader positions.

Please be sure to submit the appropriate application if you are interested in working/volunteering with us at MHC Camp.
