The
PTG is advisory in nature and shall not seek to direct
the administrative activities of the school or to control
its policies.
Mission Statement
The purpose of this organization shall be:
- To
foster the advancement of Christian education and the
welfare of the students of Mary Help of Christians Academy.
- To
promote the educational responsibilities and mutual interests
of
the parents, teachers and administrators of Mary Help
of Christians Academy.
- To
strengthen parental involvement by providing a forum for
the
exchange of opinions and ideas and to provide an outlet
for creative and
constructive parental energies.
- To
assist and support Mary Help of Christians Academy through
it fundraising activities.

Events/Responsibilities
- Innisbrook
Fall Catalog Sale
- Family
Picnic -(September) Not a fund-raiser, but a get-together
for student and parents. Held on the school grounds. BBQ,
dessert, games, raffles, dunk-tank (principal included)
and more.
- Tricky Tray - A growing fund-raiser. Usually held at
end of November.
- Calendar Sweepstakes - 91 chances to win from January through March
- Spring
Catalog Fund-raiser
- Guest
speakers for our PTG meetings.
- The
PTG keeps Edline updated with meeting dates, event dates,
reminders to parents.
The
PTG board has 8 class reps. - two for each grade - to keep
the lines of communication open between the board and the
parents. Class reps. deal closely with the class moderators
as well as recruit parents to help out after school with
intramurals and other events throughout the year.
International Food Fest
Over 250 people - alums, friends and parents of MHCA, gathered for an international food fest, where over 25 local restaurants showcased a dish of their choice. This was a PTG fundraiser for the cost of a billboard we are working towards about us on Rt. 80. We're getting the word out!
