Sr. Marisa DeRose, FMA

Sr. Marisa DeRose is the current Head of School of Mary Help of Christians Academy. She has a B.A. in English from Kean University and an M.A. in Educational Leadership from Seton Hall University. Previous to becoming Principal of the Academy (2015-2018), she was principal on both the high school and elementary school levels in New Jersey and Louisiana. Sr. Marisa was recognized as the 2014 Distinguished Principal of the Year by the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA), as well as by the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP), which recognizes all public and private school principals in the United States. She is excited to be part of the regrowth and renewal of Mary Help of Christians Academy, and she looks forward to working with this group of talented and committed men and women who comprise the inaugural Board of Trustees.
