Experiential learning becomes far more powerful for students when they are given opportunities to explore their personal interests in authentic situations where they will essentially “learn-by-doing." In order to provide such opportunities, the Academy has developed an internship program. As a part of this program, students will be placed in professional worksites aligned to their selected interests, allowing them to explore certain career fields, which will eventually aide with career discernment later in life.

Field placements both on and off campus allow students to apply the foundational skills and knowledge gained in the classroom, while simultaneously fostering the development of new skills and providing opportunity for self-refection and growth. Student interns will engage in formal work experiences under the supervision of a manager or supervisor working closely with the Academy to ensure alignment with our vision and goals.
