Summary of Experience
As a teacher of reading and writing, I taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students, and also served as a reading specialist providing support to struggling readers. Though working with students for six years was incredibly rewarding, I made the difficult decision to exit the classroom in pursuit of a doctoral degree. After completing my coursework, I returned to education in the new role of PR Specialist at the Bergenfield Public School District before eventually assuming my current role at Mary Help.
As Marketing Director, I aim to tell the story of Mary Help in everything I do. In doing so, I have uncovered the most inspiring part of my work. It comes from seeing families who, were it not for our outreach, may have never discovered and considered us at all. To think that a girl who may have missed us completely now calls Mary Help a home is all the motivation I need.
