As an illustrator, painter and fashion designer, I obtained a degree in fashion illustration and accessory design from the Traphagen School of Fashion, and have had advanced training in illustration and pattern making at New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology and Parson’s School of Design. Combining my love for flowers and my passion for design, I have also taken extensive Landscape Design and Floral Design courses at the New York Botanical Gardens, and owned and operated a floral and event business in the New York metropolitan area between 1998 and 2005. In addition to my work at Mary Help, I currently teach painting to children and adults at local art studios, while maintaining my private accessory design consulting business, and also teaching fashion drawing and illustration at the New York School of Fashion Design.
I'm thrilled to be teaching in the Practical Arts branch of the Art Department at Mary Help of Christians Academy where I can share my passion and years of practical experience in the field of designing, planning, cooking and entertaining. I look forward to watching my students awaken their creativity and grow as aspiring young chefs, designers and artists.
