About Ms. Matari, '88

Alumna, Class of ’88 | Faculty Member Since 2011

With over 20 years of experience as an educator, counselor and mental health professional, I have dedicated my career to supporting adolescents, individuals, and families through the challenges of education, personal growth, and emotional wellness as they navigate the complexities of adolescence, academic life, and emotional development with compassion, insight, and culturally competent care.

I hold a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources and Organizational Management, and an M.A. in Counseling Psychology. I am a certified School Counselor, a Licensed Professional Counselor, and maintain a private counseling practice focused on adolescent, individual, and family support.

In addition to my role at MHC, I serve as a board member of the Passaic County School Counselors Association and am an active member of the Passaic County Traumatic Loss Coalition. I also oversee Special Services at the Academy, ensuring that all students receive the individualized academic and emotional support they need to thrive.

As an MHC Academy Alumna of the Class of ’88, it is a true privilege to support our students just as I was supported during my time here. I prioritize health, wellness, and culturally competent care in all areas of development, and I truly love the work I do. I’m honored to walk alongside your daughters, helping them grow with confidence, clarity, and connection.
