Overview
Mary Help of Christians Academy, a private Catholic all-girls college preparatory high school in North Haledon, New Jersey, anticipates several instructional opportunities to meet the needs of its growing student population. Administered by the Salesian Sisters of St. John Bosco in partnership with a faculty and staff of talented educators, the Academy offers its students a holistic education rooted in the Salesian principles of reason, religion, and loving kindness.
Since 1941, the Academy has educated and empowered young women to pursue and successfully achieve careers in a variety of industries by offering them a comprehensive college prep program with Advanced Placement courses, college credit opportunities, and specialized internships. In 2021, graduates of the Academy were awarded over $15 million in merit scholarships for undergraduate studies - an average of $470,067 per recipient. Graduates are regularly granted admission to highly competitive universities such as Princeton, Dartmouth, Cornell, Boston University, The College of New Jersey, and New York University, to name a few.
Looking forward, the Academy will continue to expand its innovative learning programs while remaining firmly rooted in the decades old tradition that distinguishes Mary Help as an institution at which young women gain the diverse skills necessary to serve as leaders formed in the ideals of “Beauty, Truth, and Joy.”
