Anthony Fiorello

I attended Seton Hall University School of Law, from 1962-1965. Having been selected as a Centennial Scholar, I was awarded a scholarship to attend Seton Hall, and was also accepted at Notre Dame. I passed the Bar Exam in September 1965, and was sworn in as an Attorney at Law in the State of New Jersey.
 
I entered the armed forces in February 1966, during the Vietnam Conflict. I served as a First Lieutenant, assigned to Combat-Arm Armor, and attended Armor Officer School, in Fort Knox, Kentucky. I graduated with honors and as Valedictorian of my class, leading to a promotion as Captain. Due to my academic and military background, in February 1967, I was selected and served as Assistant Inspector General, of the United Stated Armored Training Center. I volunteered to assist widows in handling the loss of their spouses, and assisted trainees in transitioning from Kentucky, to New York for oversees assignment, as well as served as Adjunct to Judge Advocate General Corp., with assisting families of Vietnam Conflict casualties in obtaining government benefits. I received the US Army Commendation Medal and National Service Medal.
 
I was designated as trial counsel for the City of Passaic, assisted as Borough Attorney for Totowa, and Haledon. I was appointed Municipal Court Judge for West Paterson (NKA Woodland Park), serving in that capacity for three years. I am certified as a Diplomat of Municipal Law after attending courses at Rutgers University. I have served on a variety of Bar Association committees, been appointed by the Superior Court as Guardian for incompetents and minors, and as fiscal agent for corporations involved in litigation. I have extensive trial appearance in all phases of trial practice with emphasis on civil, municipal and public law areas.
 
I have been an Officer in the Wayne Elks, President, Wayne Jaycees; Director, Citizens Against Drug Abuse; member of American Cancer Society; Director, Greater Wayne Chamber of Commerce; member of Lions Club; member of UNICCO; guest lecturer, Passaic County Community College; member and Chairperson, North Jersey Country Club; member and coach, Wayne PAL; coach, West Paterson Boys Club Football Teams. I have served as a President, and Board member of Fidelians of America; past President, Treasurer, and member of Board of Directors, Passaic County Cerebral Palsy Center, Clifton, New Jersey, now North Jersey Elks Developmental Disabilities Agency.
 
I have been active in the religious community, teaching catechism at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Parish Council Member and President, Annunciation Parish; Lector, Annunciation Parish; Member and President, Holy Cross Home School Association; Member of Diocesan Federation of Home School Association for over 10 years serving three terms as President; Member New Jersey Catholic Conference; Member Paterson Diocesan School Board and Educational Council for over 25 years, serving three terms as President; representative of Paterson Diocese, New Jersey Catholic Conference, and New Jersey Bishops, presenting issues of importance to Catholic Education to federal, state, and local legislators and executives; speaker and presenter at numerous Diocesan Federation Home School Conferences and local home school associations and national conferences, member Paterson Diocesan Council, and member of the Executive Committee of the Paterson Diocesan Council; recipient of Knights of Saint Gregory Confirmation from Pope Paul II, parishioner of Saint James R.C. Church, Totowa, New Jersey.
 
I have received numerous awards and recognitions from civic, religious, federal, county, and bar associations, authorities, and organizations.
